Dear Sir. Had you been here today, you would have felt how extra special you are to those who care for you. Your family would have gone to church to altogether thank Him for your existence, pray for your well being. Tita Lily wouldn’t have been any happier as you wrap your arms around her shoulders. Ate We would have made kwento about her current projects; your other daughters and pamangkins would have greeted you via hundreds of overseas phone calls. And your son would have been more than willing enough to take the driver’s seat and let you enjoy the ride around town.

I would have joined the picture as you gather everyone for a scrumptious dinner, too. You would have asked me socially relevant questions and we would have engaged in a very interesting conversation. Your son would have smiled at both of us, amused at how well we are on the same wavelength. We all would have ended the day with a great laughter and lots of good stories to remember.

Dear Sir. Today could have been your 62^nd birthday. We haven’t met alright, but I believe you were a good man who lived a life of sincerity, wisdom and kindness. Your family’s life hadn’t been the same since you left. But you need not worry about them. They are all doing well, and there isn’t any better phrase to describe it. That’s because your legacy of good virtues remain strong in their lives.
