This is me being objectified as the Muse mockingly asks, "Why are you grumbling while you eat, dear?" WHY?! You ask why?! |
Let's rewind to five minutes ago, as I was devouring my first meal. I don't know if reptiles can smell food, but the family's turtle named Shy came out of his hideout... |
...and approached the then busy, in-the-midst-of-eating-but-still-awesome Me. |
Then he said, "Dude, I'm starving. I'm aware your diet is 5 times a day, so would you be kind enough to share your breakfast with me?" Since I was hesitant, I just replied, "Well, yeah, whatever. Help yourself." |
And so, to the delight of the Muse and her mother, the Turtle Shy and I ate MY breakfast together. |
Until I couldn't take it anymore. Shy seldom eats rice in places where he's visible, so today he must be quite hungry. |
I decided to be generous. |
Looking at him from afar, I saw how he enjoyed what was supposed to be MY breakfast. |
The family's got one hungry turtle. As I watched him clean himself up and walk away, I realized one thing. |
The turtle never said Thank You. Imagine that. He just went home and didn't say a word of gratitude. |
And I, on the other hand, had to eat his left overs. Remember how this was supposed to be MY breakfast? |
So, dear Muse, I hope you understand the grumbling. You might want to rethink the turtle's name because to me, he is far from shy.
